Smooth, flush surfaces play a vital part in the aerodynamic efficiency and styling appeal of modern vehicles. By doing away with the rubber gaskets and cover trims around windows and body panels, adhesive-bonded vehicle components make it possible to achieve the smooth, unbroken lines that designers and stylists aim for. The joint between e.g. glass and body flange is simply filled with a suitable sealant or adhesive/sealant and tooled flush with the surrounding body panels. These flush lines also facilitate washing and cleaning of the vehicle.
