Blistered paint work, peeled wallpaper, dry rot, timber decay and a bad “musty” smell – not really an environment of enjoyable living. This is the case though in many (old) buildings and this unpleasant situation is caused by rising damp. Rising damp is the vertical flow of water through a permeable wall structure, e.g. water rises through pores in the masonry mortar.
Sika’s new solution is SikaMur®-InjectoCream, a Diffusion Injection System solving the problem of rising damp at its root! By applying the water repellent cream into the brick laying mortar, a total barrier against rising damp is formed that ensures a high quality damp treatment and makes sure that the wall is kept dry for a long time!
