Sika Acquires Sider Oxydro, France
The Sika Group, which is active in the field of speciality chemicals, acquires the assets of SIDER OXYDRO, via its subsidiary in France, for about CHF 1 m.
The company, which is based in Bonneuil (80 km north of Paris), is active in the mortar business, and has a strong market position particularly in the Paris region. SIDER OXYDRO recorded sales of CHF 5 m in the year 2000. In the past business year, Sika’s French subsidiary, with its 550-strong workforce, generated sales of about CHF 160 m. The company is planning to integrate the SIDER OXYDRO business into its existing structure.
