Sika Opens Sixth Production Plant in China
Sika today celebrated the opening of its sixth production facility in China. The plant, located outside of Shanghai in Suzhou, will produce Sikaflex® polyurethane adhesives as well as concrete admixtures (Sika® ViscoCrete®) and mortars on its 75’000 square meter premises.
The newly set up warehouse will above all supply the east coast of China. Suzhou is also home to a Sika technology center and headquarters of Sika China. The operations in Suzhou are under Chinese management and will employ approximately 150 people – less than 10 of them being foreigners.
