NESTLÉ JEBEL ALI, DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

Nestlé opened a new 47,800 m2 factory in Dubai in 2010  to serve markets across the Middle East. Nestlé’s TechnoPark facility is the first confectionery plant built by the company in a decade and is expected to be the third largest Kit Kat chocolate manufacturing plant worldwide. Sika roofing, flooring and joint sealing solutions were supplied to this project.  

PILGER BAKERY, BREITENBERG, GERMANY

Designed for sustainability, this large modern bakery offers sufficient space for the manufacture of a wide range of goods. The equipment of the production operation is environmentally specified according to the general sustainable concept of Pilger which would allow the excess heat from the bake oven to be sent to the floor heating system. Sika provided hygienic flooring systems at the new Pilger Bakery building to meet all the criteria.

COLDWATER SEAFOOD, LTD. GRIMSBY, LINCOLNSHIRE, ENGLAND, UK

The seafood processing industry in the UK has evolved from supplying filleted fish directly to Billingsgate market to supplying the major supermarket food retailers with sophisticated pre packed ready meal delicacies. To meet the specialist requirements of the floors used for this industry, the contractor chose to install a total of 700 m² of Sikafloor® PurCem polyurethane screed floor in the production and cold store areas.

HEINEKEN WAREHOUSE ROOF REFURBISHMENT, KOŠICE, SLOVAKIA

At the Heineken distribution center in Košice, the investor decided to reconstruct the roof deck, with one particular requirement being the ability to walk on the roof. An expert from Sika proposed a roofing solution using thermal insulation PIR boards and the Sikaplan® TM-15 polyolefin membrane, which met all the project needs.

SAB MILLER BREWERY ‘CERVECERÍA NACIONAL’ GUAYAQUIL, ECUADOR

Cervecería Nacional has built new modern processing areas at the plant in Guayaquil, where SAB Miller demanded high performance materials for hygienic and tough floors that also allow easy cleaning and create an environment consistent with quality beer production. Sika provided a new protective epoxy flooring system.
