Volkswagen relocated some of the production of their Golf, Bora and Polo models to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. A new production plant was built and once again because of their previous good experience and successes with Sika Industrial flooring systems, Sikafloor products were selected for more than 165’000 m² of resin floor finishes in the plant.

The renovation of an old floor at Wroclaw in Poland was necessary to provide a new Assembly Line for Volvo's truck and bus production. The ten year old, badly worn and uneven concrete floor slab had to be refurbished and upgraded to provide a high performance industrial floor that would conform to the modern standards demanded by Volvo.

Following the successful application of Sikafloor industrial flooring systems in many VW plants around the world, Sika was selected to provide the flooring products to renovate the VW plant in Uitenhagen, South Africa. The existing floors were badly worn and uneven.

For the Asian production of their well known 3-series, BMW established a new production plant in Shenyang, China. The floor finishes of the Joint Shop, the main Assembly Line, the Final Inspection Areas and the Logistic Centre, were all successfully completed with Sikafloor products.
