Noise Barriers using GFRP Profiles with Sikadur® Structural Adhesives, PDF 590 KB
Swiss Railway (SBB)The noise level from passing trains is often annoying and is frequently a major problem in Switzerland due to the high development density. Residential areas built next to railway lines are particularly plagued by noise. The noise barriers installed along the tracks in some places alleviate the problem, but these barriers and their steel supports always eventually corrode. They require costly, labour intensive replacement after 30 or 40 years.
