Responsibilities & Opportunities

This position is responsible to lead and train staff electricians to perform a wide variety of electrical tasks to include preventative and corrective maintenance, equipment installation, and project support, ad hoc repairs of equipment breakdowns, handle general facility maintenance, as well as miscellaneous duties as assigned.  This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide on call support as needed
  • Instructing and offering guidance and directives while being involved in all skilled activities
  • Elevate skill set of subordinates through in-house and offsite training
  • Coordinate teams of electricians and make sure work is done in a timely manner
  • Overseeing subordinates, inspecting work to make sure standards have been met
  • Work with Maintenance Planner in ordering electrical parts and scheduling PM and repair work as needed to support the team
  • Repair/replace VFD’s, Contactors, PLC’s, other failed electrical components
  • Modify existing electrical components to comply with safety regulations, cost saving measures as required

Preferred Skills

  • High School Degree
  • Journeyman Electrician License
  • 10 + years of experience in industrial electrical in a production environment
  • Prior forklift certification a plus
  • Familiarity with environmental, health & safety regulations
  • Must possess good electrical aptitude and be able to analyze and troubleshoot problems
  • Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and automated production equipment
  • Extrusion and sheet line experience a plus
  • Familiarity with utilizing a CMMS
