The Board of Directors of Sika AG, Baar, Switzerland, has appointed Jan Jenisch to head Sika’s Industry Division as of March 1, 2004. Concurrently he will be a member of Sika’s Group Man-agement. Chris Tobler, current head of the Industry Division, has been elected to serve Sefar Holding AG in Rueschlikon, Switzerland, as CEO beginning January 1, 2005. The Sefar Group is Switzerland’s largest textile manufacturer and world leader in technical fabrics for screen prin-ting and filtration.

Jan Jenisch, born in 1966, studied business management (MBA) in Switzerland and the United States. He joined Sika’s Industry Division in 1996 to develop the automotive market. In October 2000 he was appointed manager of Sika Tivoli GmbH in Hamburg, Germany, a company acquired by Sika at that time. At the same time he was responsible for Sika’s automotive business in Europe.

During his six years at Sika Chris Tobler resolutely expanded Sika’s Industry Division into a business that achieves sales of close to CHF 600 million. He also integrated both the Tivoli and Magna acquisitions successfully. As a result Sika is now the global market leader in the baffle and reinforcer segment of the automotive market.
