Sika Italy and renowned Italian architect Massimiliano Mandarini are partners in the Green Smart Living project. Green Smart Living, a modular housing unit, fosters a culture of healthy sustainable living in green and social hybrid architecture spaces. The new building has been created by Mandarini and his Workshop Laboratory of Design, Architecture and Green Services, Marchingenio, in cooperation with Sika Italy, and with the support of Green Building Council Italia.

Sika and Green Smart Living
Modern Life in a NZEB

Green Smart Living is a platform which uses the techniques of Green Living with new design and architectural features. It aims to raise awareness, in the community and in the marketplace, of new responsible, green, sustainable styles of living. The project is a prototype (50 m²) nearly zero energy building (NZEB), that has all the requirements of a Green Living, where you can live and work in a flexible, shared way following new smart and social lifestyles. The house has been constructed using Green Living technologies, materials and design solutions which improve the quality of life.

Sika supports Green Smart Living
Sikalastic®-560 for external coating

Marchingenio promotes through systems and technologies the culture of sustainability in the Green Living global market. For example, the impermeable liquid membrane Sikalastic®-560 has been used for the external coating of the module. This solution has a low environmental impact and is based on Sika® exclusive Co-Elastic Technology. While for the floors, the high comfort and hard wearing Sika system Comfortfloor® with low VOC emissions has been chosen.
