Equipped with the latest technology, this VW plant will be operated by approximately 3,000 people. The plant can make 20 vehicles per hour, which produces 450 cars per day. Sika supplied industrial flooring systems for different function zones with different exposures and requirements: logistic and storage areas, production areas which are exposed to water and chemicals, areas with ESD requirements, etc.

To protect against nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) threats and hazards, the DDPS safety laboratory (SiLab) is a facility where Risk Group (RG) 3 and 4 human pathogenic agents can be handled in the utmost safety. This security standard allows the safe handling of the world’s most dangerous biological hazards including deadly viruses such as Ebola and Anthrax. This design with totally sealed floors, walls and ceilings, requires easily decontaminated and biologically resistant surfaces, and thus Sika provided certified cleanroom suitable wall  coating and flooring systems to meet the most rigorous standards.

Designed for sustainability, this large modern bakery offers sufficient space for the manufacture of a wide range of goods. The equipment of the production operation is environmentally specified according to the general sustainable concept of Pilger which would allow the excess heat from the bake oven to be sent to the floor heating system. Sika provided hygienic flooring systems at the new Pilger Bakery building to meet all the criteria.

The customer was very interested in a highly durable flooring renovationsolution with optimum performance in high chemical and heavy mechanical demanding industrial areas of this manufacturing plant. Sika provided a sustainable flooring solution for this project based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach showcasing Sika flooring over traditional ceramic tile.

SAB MILLER BREWERY ‘CERVECERÍA NACIONAL’ GUAYAQUIL, ECUADOR

Cervecería Nacional has built new modern processing areas at the plantin Guayaquil, where SAB Miller demanded high performance materials for hygienic and tough floors that also allow easy cleaning and create an environment consistent with quality beer production. Sika provided a new protective epoxy flooring system.
