Under the direction of the HR Operations department, the Senior HR Generalist / HR Generalist will be responsible for providing internal human resource support, including but not limited to HR day-to-day administration, manpower planning, performance management, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relation, HR data analysis/ data management and acting as a primary point of contact for Personnel. As a member of the Core Team, the HR Generalist will work closely with Manager / leader to assist in the human resource administration and operational needs and activities of the Friendship Centre.

The HR Generalist must have the ability to handle personnel matters with sensitivity, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism at all times.

This position will anticipate and respond to emerging issues, trends, and challenges that affect organizational policies and programs.

  • Manpower planning, Recruiting and Onboarding:

HR Generalists manage the manpower planning, recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and recruitment data analysis. 

  • Employee Relations/Employee disciplinary:

HR Generalists address employee inquiries, resolve conflicts, and handle disciplinary matters. 

  • Compliance:

They ensure the company complies with employment laws, standards and regulations. 

  • Performance Management:

HR Generalists may assist in performance evaluations and process completion.

  • Data Management:

HR Generalists maintain HR databases, track employee information, and generate reports. 

  • HR Dashboard / Survey / Employee data analysis:

Employee data analysis involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information about employees to gain insights into various aspects of their work, performance, and engagement.

  • HRM Project execution:

Put HRM project into action, following initiation and planning, carrying out the tasks, deliverables, and activities outlined in the project plan to achieve the project's objectives.

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field, or minimum five (5) years of HR experience
  • Knowledge of HR functions, relevant legislation, and experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office and HR Information Systems
  • Strong analytical thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience in organizing trainings and developing HR policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity, work ethic, and ability to meet deadlines
  • HR innovation mindset and ability to adapt to emerging trends in the field
