International Women Day 2026: Suniti Ahmed on Empowerment, Collaboration and Believing in Yourself

As part of our International Women’s Day 2026 series, we continue highlighting inspiring women at Sika who contribute to the company’s culture and success around the world.

This time, we spoke with Suniti Ahmed, General Manager Bangladesh & Country Head, who shared her perspective on this year’s theme: “Give to Gain.”

When asked which three key words best describe how Sika lives this principle, Suniti pointed to Empowerment, Collaboration, and Sustainability. For her, these values reflect how Sika creates long-term value, not only for employees, but also for customers and society as a whole. “When people feel empowered and work together across teams and partners, it creates a strong foundation for sustainable success,” she explains.
Reflecting on her own experience, Suniti also shared a message for women navigating their professional journeys. As a representative from Asia, she highlights how many women naturally take on multiple roles in their daily lives. Balancing professional responsibilities with family, children, and social commitments often requires resilience and determination. “The list of responsibilities can be long,” she says, “but when women receive the right support from the workplace, family, and society, they can achieve incredible things."

Her advice to female colleagues is clear: stay focused, work hard with integrity, and believe in yourself. While the path may include challenges and setbacks, she emphasizes that maintaining a clear vision and purpose helps overcome obstacles and move forward with confidence.
