Sika’s new patented fast-curing 2C silicone range sets a new standard for speed and efficiency in appliance and solar manufacturing. With a generous 4‑minute working time followed by rapid strength build-up, the adhesives reach 80% of their final strength in just 10 minutes—ideal for high-throughput assembly lines with minimal downtime.
Early adhesion to a wide variety of organic substrates and metals enables immediate in-line quality control, reducing waiting times and increasing process reliability. The products are available in 10:1 (Sikasil® AS-796) and 2:1 (Sikasil® AS-791) mixing ratios, supplied in drums and pails, with cartridges available for sampling.
Sikasil® AS-791 delivers outstanding temperature stability and has achieved UL‑746 certification, performing reliably at a continuous operating temperature of 180°C on materials such as ABS, powder coatings, and metals. This makes it a go-to solution for bonding ovens, cooktops, and cooking panels, where heat resistance and long-term performance are essential.
