Sky Park in Bratislava has transformed a former industrial zone into a modern residential landmark with three 31-story towers and a vast underground carpark. To ensure durability, safety, and long-term performance, Sika supplied specialized flooring systems tailored for heavy traffic, crack-bridging, and chemical resistance.
Project Description
The new multipurpose project Sky Park is located close to the center of Bratislava, Slovakia. The site belongs to the former industrial zone of Mill Nuns. The goal of this project is to bring a completely new living quality and perspective to the area. Completed in 2020, Sky Park Residence, composed of three 31-story identical residential towers, is an important part of the project. It features 786 apartments and a two-story underground parking garage which is 35,000 square meters. Sika supplied three different flooring systems to this underground carpark.
Project Requirements
The carpark floor needed to be durable with excellent mechanical and chemical resistant. For the intermediate park deck where dynamic loads from the car traffic is a problem, excellent crack bridging performance is required in addition.
