Whether it’s for industrial facilities, commercial buildings, or infrastructure projects, Sika’s coatings deliver reliable performance, aesthetic value, and sustainability.

Sika’s coating systems are engineered to meet the highest international standards— ensuring surfaces stay protected, efficient, and compliant over time. The portfolio includes everything from corrosion protection and waterproofing to decorative finishes and hygienic coatings, tailored to the specific needs of each project.

Liquid Applied Membranes
Liquid Applied Membranes

With extensive expertise in polyurethane and polyurea, Sika offers a wide range of liquid applied membranes which include both 1K and 2K hand applied products, as well as hot spray membranes. The liquid application enables the most complicated roofs to be completed with ease. Development drivers focus on minimizing disruption during application, through low odor technologies and fast cure concepts, with long term durability in service at the foundation.

The  1K PU Sikalastic®-625 N solution has been used on roofs across the world since its launch due to ease of use and excellent durability. Sika additionally developed a unique combination with the 2K topcoat Sikalastic®-701 that provides superior colour retention for highly prestigious projects. This hybrid technology outperforms regular polyurethane systems under UV exposure, with minimal chalking and fading.  Sika teams are constantly exploring raw material sources, looking to reduce impact and minimize hazards.

Sika launched Sikalastic®-625 BMS which was the first liquid applied membrane with a reduced CO2 footprint. Combining biomass balance and biobased concepts into one, this underlines our commitment to sustainability. The biomass balance concept enables biomass to be fed into the supply chain in place of fossil resources which we support as a transition tool to net zero.

The Sika hot spray systems cover a wide range of waterproofing applications from bridge decks to car parks, through to use in wastewater treatment plants and sewage effluent pipelines. Next generation systems in development are aiming to reduce CO2 footprint without compromising the high levels of performance required in these harsh environments.

Epoxy Flooring
SikaFloor Solutions

The new epoxy flooring range supports safer and more sustainable building practices by having a cleaner EHS labelling and reducing VOC emission. Sikafloor®-264 Plus (multipurpose epoxy floor) and Sikafloor®-150 Plus (unfilled epoxy primer) meet the regulatory requirements from the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) and eliminate the H360 labelling. Furthermore, both products offer low VOC emissions (AgBB and M1 certificates), helping reduce environmental impact and promoting healthier indoor air quality.

Polyurethane (PU) Flooring
SikaFloor Solutions

Sika polyurethane flooring can enhance the aesthetics and performance of polyurethane flooring. In 2-C polyurethanes, the unwanted side reaction with moisture is suppressed, and the final product cures independently of the moisture during application. The technology allows a quicker thorough cure and therefore a faster return to service. Use of the latent hardeners therefore allows robustness in application independent of climatic conditions which often affect traditional 2C polyurethanes resulting in aeration or bubbling in the film.

Xolutec® Technology

Sika Xolutec® is an advanced technology developed by Sika for high-performance protective coatings and repair mortars. Engineered for extreme durability, it offers outstanding resistance to aggressive chemicals, abrasion, and harsh environmental conditions. Xolutec® combines organic and inorganic chemistry to create a versatile system suitable for infrastructure, water management, and industrial facilities. It ensures long-lasting protection and reduced maintenance, even in the most demanding applications.

Sika® Ucrete® (Hybrid Systems)

Sika® Ucrete® is a high-performance polyurethane concrete flooring system built for extreme industrial conditions. It delivers outstanding resistance to thermal shock, aggressive chemicals, and heavy mechanical impact — making it ideal for sectors like food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals where hygiene, safety, and durability are non-negotiable.

Unlike traditional resin floors, Ucrete® withstands temperatures from -40°C to +120°C, resists a broad range of acids, alkalis, and solvents, and holds up under intense abrasion and traffic. Its dense, monolithic build ensures long-term performance, while its non-tainting, fast-curing formula allows for rapid installation and minimal downtime. With a lifespan exceeding 20 years, low VOC content, and reduced need for replacements, Ucrete® supports both operational efficiency and sustainable construction.

Water-based Technology
Water based epoxy flooring applied in a factory

Sika’s water-based coating solutions offer high-performance protection with a lower environmental impact. Designed for concrete and steel substrates, these coatings reduce VOC emissions while delivering strong adhesion, chemical resistance, and long-term durability. They’re ideal for infrastructure, commercial buildings, and industrial applications where safety, sustainability, and performance are priorities. Easy to apply and quick to dry, Sika’s water-based systems support cleaner, safer job sites without compromising on quality or protection.

Most of Sika’s water-based LAM products can be considered ‘non-reactive’ in a sense that the polymer is already formed but stabilized in a dispersion. Following application, the final coating film (or membrane) is formed via a two-stage process; evaporation of water and co-solvents, followed by coalescence of the polymer binder particles. This is different to solvent based or 100% solids polyurethanes (or PUA’s) that are ‘reactive’ and undergo a chemical reaction during a curing process. However, it is possible to utilize reactive chemistries in combination with water-based systems, shown in products like Sikafloor®–304 W which include a reactive low monomer isocyanate part as a second component to drive extra performance in demanding flooring applications.
